Description
The 1.5KE 36CA TVS Diode Series is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events.

Features:

• 1500W peak pulse power capability on a 10/1000µs waveform, repetition rate (duty cycle): 0.01%

• Glass passivated chip junction in DO-201 package

• Fast response time — typically less than 1.0 picosecond (ps) from 0 Volts to BV (breakdown voltage) minimum

• Excellent clamping capability

• Typical failure mode is a short circuit from over-specified voltage or current

• Whisker test conducted based on JEDEC JESD201A, Table 4a and 4c

• IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection: 30kV (Air), 30kV (Contact)

• ESD protection of data lines in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2

• EFT protection of data lines in accordance with IEC 61000-4-4

• Low incremental surge resistance

• Typical reverse leakage current (IR) less than 1µA when VBR(min) > 12V

• High-temperature reflow soldering guaranteed: 260°C for 40 seconds (lead length 0.375″, or 9.5mm, with 5 lbs / 2.3kg tension)

• Breakdown voltage at junction temperature (TJ):
  VBR @ TJ = VBR @ 25°C × [1 + αT × (TJ – 25)],
  where αT is the temperature coefficient (typical value 0.1%)

• Plastic package flammability rated V-0 per UL standards

• Matte tin, lead-free plated terminals

• Halogen-free and RoHS compliant

• Pb-free (E3) indicates second-level interconnects are Pb-free and the terminal finish material is tin (Sn) in accordance with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609A.01
