Description:
The CD4031B is a static 64-stage shift register built with D-type master-slave flip-flops, plus an additional half-stage master flip-flop for flexible cascading. Data present at the DATA input shifts one stage on each positive clock transition, with typical clock speeds up to 12 MHz. Fully static operation allows information to be stored indefinitely regardless of clock state. The MODE CONTROL input enables a recirculating mode or selection between two data sources, while direct clocking, a delayed clock output (CLD), and a delayed Q’ output support three different cascading options — making it ideal for high-speed operation as well as systems using slower clock rise and fall times. It’s widely used in serial shift register and time-delay circuit applications
